Job overview and responsibilities The goal of NOC Ops Strategy & Analytics team is empowering NOC leaders with timely and actionable data driven insights to contextualize their everyday performance and drivers for the same - by conducting analyses on various operational drivers. Operations analytics involves vast and complex data sources which implicate the need for strong statistical concepts, technical and analytical skillsets, visualization and business acumen – in order to navigate cross-functional problem statements. As a leadership role, this requires active engagement with NOC senior leadership to identify their problem areas and provide thought leadership and analytical support
  • Provide analytical and program management support for all NOC divisions, with focus on our long-term strategic plans for operational readiness, performance management &
  • Design solutions to various business problems across NOC teams using data analysis, optimization tools, statistical modeling and machine learning techniques
  • Lead status meetings and manage frequent communication to business stakeholders, and senior leadership, as required
  • Optimize team productivity by effectively managing employee bandwidth, prioritization, along with mentoring the direct reports to foster professional growth

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded. This position is for United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.

Qualifications What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Bachelors in engineering, Computer Science, or quantitative fields such as Mathematics or Statistics
  • 6+ years of experience in analytics required
  • At least 1 year of experience in leading analytics projects required
  • Expertise in database querying tools, writing complex queries SQL
  • Strong knowledge of modern scripting languages (Python/ R)
  • Strong knowledge of reporting tools such as Spotfire/Tableau/PowerBI
  • Expert knowledge of multivariate statistical analysis and machine learning
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and leaders, especially expressing complex quantitative analysis clearly and precisely
  • Ability to manage & mentor a team
  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • Master's degree
  • Master's in business administration (MBA), or in Analytics, or quantitative fields such as Econometrics, Statistics
  • Ability to design and track meaningful operational metrics preferred
