Business Analyst

Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have extensive expertise in OSFI regulatory requirements, CAD Retail product knowledge, risk management, and a good understanding of various applications such as OSFI, DGS, GL Recon, CRA, and OFSAA or similar applications exposure. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to contribute to regulatory-driven projects and enhance their experience in financial services and risk management.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • OSFI Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with OSFI guidelines, regulations, and compliance practices.
  • CAD Retail Product Knowledge: Understanding of retail banking products in the Canadian market or similar products from other markets.
  • Risk Management: Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk across banking and financial services products.
  • Application Expertise: Knowledge and experience with OSFI, DGS, GL Reconciliation, CRA, and OFSAA applications or similar applications exposure, as well as Jira and Confluence.
  • DIH & Data Model Expertise: Strong knowledge of Data Integration Hubs (DIH) and data modeling principles.
  • Requirements Documentation: Experience in composing business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
  • Data Lineage & STTM Experience: Proficiency in managing data lineage, reporting processes, and STTM implementations.
  • Basic Accounting Understanding: Familiarity with accounting processes and events as they relate to financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5 - 12 years of experience in business analysis, regulatory compliance, risk management, and financial services applications.
  • Substantial experience working on regulatory projects and with financial services applications.
  • Hands-on exposure with Jira and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with EBA regulatory requirements is a plus.
