Department Description: SaaS Engineering Development team, is one of the most exciting and fast growing teams at Oracle. SaaS Engineering team has established itself as a core solutions provider in areas of architecture, functionality, etc. for many of the applications. SaaS Engineering offers a unique experience working with different technologies but not limited to Linux, Oracle PL/SQL, APEX, Java/J2EE, Web Services to name a Engineering works on wide range of domains but not limited to Finance, Budgeting, Cloud Capacity, Real Estate, Communications etc.

Job Description: As a Principal Member of software engineering division, you will assist in defining, developing, debugging and validating software applications and/or automation (API and UI). You will provide technical leadership to other team members and mentor new hires. You will also be working and co-ordinating with various other teams, across different SaaS Engineering products. You will work with Top Level Management and Product Architects to shape and influence new features. You'll be using your development expertise and database know-how to help our team and will participate in design, development, support and documentation with different internal development groups, support systems and documentation environments. But your real success with Oracle will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm and position will participate in highly complex designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging software programs and scripts. Candidate will critique software components and interfaces in great technical depth, develop/support complex systems, along with the best practices to ensure a high quality end product.

Primary Responsibilities: We are looking a senior developer with minimum 10 years of work experience, having minimum 5+ years of experience in Finance/Resourcing/Communications domain. He/she has to be able hit the ground running from day one, and expect him/her to be able to research issues on their own if there are problems. Our team does a lot of collaboration, so we need someone experienced enough to find the tools and express opinions on ways to handle various problems.

Should be able to perform as a team member, must be a self-starter and ready to work as an individual contributor and should possess strong analytical and problem solving capabilities. Handle the assigned tasks independently and deliver quality solution adhering to the defined timelines within the defined policies and procedures. Candidate will investigate, estimate, document, design and implement changes to new and existing software architectures. Should have 10 to 15 years of work experience in design, development/customization, implementation and support of web based Database Applications / APEX, and should be proficient in UI Development, PL/SQL, and modern UI Frameworks. Strong skills and hands on experience in some of the areas like Data Modeling, Application Design, Oracle Database (SQL, PLSQL), Performance Tuning. Strong skills and hands on experience in cloud technologies(OCI/AWS/etc) Knowledge of mobile application development (native / browser based) will be a plus as well. Knowledge of Python, Chef, Jenkins added advantage Should be able to participate in technical designs, recommend solutions, follow best design and coding practices and also provide technical assistance to the team. Willingness to learn new things and ready to work on some highly visible and critical applications. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are mandatory. Candidate should have outstanding analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills.

You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
