Senior Java Development Engineer

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of Trellix’s advanced email security and threat management product suite. You will take ownership of key product areas, working on both new feature development and the maintenance/redesign of existing components. This role involves collaboration with product and engineering teams and requires a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.About the Role:Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java and python code for the Analysis Engine (malware detection) platform of Trellix.Ownership of significant areas of the code for both new feature/functionality development as well as maintenance/redesign of the existing areas of the product.Continuous focus and contribution in the areas of performance, availability, scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the product.Active participation in our ongoing process enhancements and software development practicesRequired Skills:- 5 to 7 years of relevant software development experience.- Strong programming skills in JAVA; familiarity with Python is a plus.- Solid understanding of operating system concepts and Linux environments.- Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases is desirable.- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and best practice implementation.- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
