THE ROLE: Network Engineer 

Responsibilities:

Operational Support Services Network Engineer

Act in a network support role on a team providing xx operational support of a large heterogeneous network. Participate in the resolution/execution of incidents, service requests, changes. Troubleshoot and resolve network related performance issues. Log all customer interactions, filling out detailed information in tickets and document resolutions. Contribute to documented process improvements. Coordinate support activities with multiple user departments and internal teams, as well as third party vendors. Provide feedback to improve existing architecture to deliver a scalable, highly reliable network. Build and maintain positive, constructive partnering relationships with the client community. Responsible for maintaining various network projects with our client base. Interact with all levels of clients supporting all aspects of infrastructure technology in their environment. Participate in afterhours maintenance windows. Participate in an on-call rotation schedule. Stay current with latest trends in technology and the management and integration of those technologies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum of years' experience in supporting a complex network environment. Managed Services experience preferred. Entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated and customer focused mindset essential. Highly organized with concentrated attention to detail preferred. Proven track record working in a team environment and independently. Ability to manage a number of simultaneous activities while demonstrating accountability. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills with quick adaptation to change. Solid communication and interpersonal skills – personable, effective communication style required with presentation experience. High emotional intelligence required for internal/external relationship development and management.

Technical Qualifications:

Knowledge of network design, network operation or network automation. Knowledge of one or more of: Arista EOS operating systems, F load balancers, Infoblox and Palo Alto firewalls. Knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF. Troubleshooting experience using Ekahau, packet capture, NetFlow. NetMRI, Splunk, Endace, CA Spectrum, Thousand Eyes a plus.
