About the job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ETL Test Engineer to join our data team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in working with large datasets, performing end-to-end ETL testing, and ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems. You will play a critical role in validating data pipelines and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to uphold data quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive ETL test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing on data pipelines, ETL workflows, and databases.
  • Validate large-scale data migrations to ensure accuracy and completeness between source and target systems.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data anomalies and quality issues.
  • Work closely with data engineers, architects, and analysts to understand data requirements and support data quality initiatives.
  • Document test strategies, test results, data issues, and improvement recommendations.
  • Drive automation of data validation processes to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data quality processes, tools, and methodologies.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in ETL testing.
  • Proven experience in validating large-scale data migrations and data pipeline workflows.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Hive, Spark, Spark SQL, and DataFrame APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse platforms.
  • Experience using data quality automation tools and frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data integration principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
