About the Role

We are seeking a skilled API Developer with a strong background in Python to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is ideal for developers passionate about building scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs, especially in the security or networking domain.

Job Title: API Developer – Python (Hybrid, Bangalore)

Location: Bangalore, India

Work Mode: Hybrid (2–3 days/week in office)

Experience: 4+ years overall, with 2+ years in API development

Domain: Security / Networking (Preferred)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django REST Framework)
  • Integrate APIs with third-party systems, tools, and platforms
  • Ensure high performance and responsiveness to API requests
  • Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions
  • Implement authentication, authorization, and secure data exchange practices
  • Document API specifications using tools like Swagger/OpenAPI

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on Python programming experience
  • At least 2 years of experience specifically in API development
  • Familiarity with API design principles, security best practices, versioning, and error handling
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
  • Git, CI/CD pipelines, and unit testing knowledge

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to Networking or Cybersecurity domains
  • Experience with OAuth2, JWT, API rate limiting, and logging/monitoring tools
  • Working knowledge of containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes)
