Role Summary:

The Placement & Employer Engagement Officer will work directly under the Vice President of the Corporate Resource Centre. The role's primary focus is to establish and maintain strong connections between the university, employers, and students, facilitating internship and job opportunities. The role is responsible for building relationships with industry professionals and potential employers to create successful placement opportunities for students. This includes effective communication with students, organizing career development events, and ensuring students are well-prepared for job placements.


Job Characteristics:

This position requires a proactive individual with a passion for supporting students in their career journeys and fostering strong, meaningful partnerships with employers. The ideal candidate should be results-driven, have strong networking capabilities, and be committed to helping the institution maintain a high standard in employer engagement and placement services.


Key Responsibilities:

Employer Relations:

  • Lead Generation: Identify new companies and reach out to them for internships, final placements, and other engagement activities, ensuring continuous engagement throughout the student lifecycle.
  • Enhance Placement Value: Focus on bringing top brands to campus, aiming for higher salary packages and improving Year-on-Year (YoY) increases in median salary offerings.
  • Event Organization: Plan and execute employer networking events, job fairs, and recruitment drives to connect students with potential employers.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry and economic developments to enhance outreach efforts and placement effectiveness.


Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in business, Education, Human Resources, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience: Proven experience in career services, recruitment, or student outreach roles (preferably in a university or educational institution).


Must Have:

  • Prior experience with universities placement outreach team is a must, should have connects with top companies for better student placement.
