Position Overview:

- The key focus of the Solution Architect is to identify and define the technical requirements that are related to the solution that is being developed.

- This will ensure that consistency across all apps and services, and that architectures are robust, scalable, open and secure.

Key Requirements :

- You have prior experience in a Solution Architect role. You will have worked directly with business stakeholders in a small to medium sized company

- You possess solid expertise in software engineering and architecture design

- You have strong knowledge of various operating systems and databases

- You possess good analytical and debugging skills

- You will have had experience in addressing security and performance concerns effectively.

- Good communication skills and the ability to effectively manage various stakeholders

- Experience of the full range of services in a B2C service environment.

- Infrastructure, backend, frontend (web and mobile). Bias towards backend experience.

- You will have had experience with international payment gateway providers and cross-border payments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Designing technical solutions to meet team requirements and user needs.

- Identifying and owning architectural and other technical risks.

- Planning and participating in system integration activities.

- Participating in the selection of platforms and technologies

- Helping to build and maintain technical roadmaps, looking ahead for future opportunities or blockers and ensuring that the development team aligns with the strategy.

- Helping to develop solutions by contributing to code, testing technologies and producing rapid prototypes.

- Enabling a positive culture, applying agile methods to development and performing quality assurance practices.

- Providing advice to the development teams regarding the technical implications of current user stories as well as those in the backlog.

- Helping to enable the reuse of patterns, tools and components across teams where appropriate.

- Utilise architecture visualisation tools to create detailed diagrams, models, and presentations that effectively communicate complex technical solutions to stakeholders and project teams.

- Lead and guide offshore architecture teams in the development and implementation of Cloud-native Microservices-based strategies and frameworks, with a focus on automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), following iterative delivery life cycles.

- Work closely with delivery managers, developers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget, with a focus on automated workflows, continuous integration, and seamless platform integrations.

- Prior experience working in a startup environment, demonstrating adaptability, agility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
