Rural Sales InternLocationField-based – Rural & Semi-Urban Areas (District / Block level)Duration3–6 Months (Extendable / Convertible to Full-Time based on performance)StipendMonthly stipend + travel allowance + performance incentives (if applicable)Role ObjectiveThe Rural Sales Intern will support on-ground sales and market-development activities in rural and semi-urban regions. The role focuses on creating awareness, generating leads, supporting conversions, and building long-term relationships with local stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesField Sales & OutreachConduct daily field visits to villages, small towns, PHCs, clinics, pharmacies, and local institutionsIntroduce and explain the product/service to potential customers in simple, local languageAssist in demonstrations, pilot deployments, or trial usage where requiredLead Generation & Follow-upsIdentify and document potential customers and partnersSupport follow-up visits, basic negotiations, and closing discussions under guidanceMaintain basic records of leads, visits, and outcomesMarket IntelligenceCollect feedback from customers on pricing, usability, and local needsTrack competitor presence and alternative solutions available locallyReport insights on demand patterns, seasonal trends, and buying behaviourRelationship BuildingBuild rapport with local healthcare workers, shop owners, NGOs, and community influencersCoordinate with local authorities or institutions when requiredReporting & CoordinationSubmit daily/weekly field reports (visits, leads, learnings)Coordinate with the central sales and operations teamEligibility & ProfileEducational BackgroundRecent graduates in:PharmacyBMLT / DMLTLife SciencesManagement / MarketingAny relevant healthcare or sales-oriented disciplineSkills & TraitsWillingness to travel extensively in rural areasStrong communication skills; comfort with local languages is a plusBasic understanding of sales or strong interest in field salesResilient mindset – ability to handle rejection and continue outreachHigh energy, self-driven, and comfortable working independentlyBasic smartphone usage (WhatsApp, Excel/Google Sheets preferred)What the Intern Will GainReal-world exposure to rural sales and grassroots market buildingHands-on experience in selling a concept, not just a productDeep understanding of rural customer behaviour and healthcare gapsOpportunity for Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) or full-time role based on performanceCertificate and recommendation letter upon successful completionIdeal ForCandidates who want ground-level sales exposureThose interested in healthcare, social impact, or rural marketsIndividuals who want to build a strong foundation in B2B field sales
