We have an urgent opening for the SQL Developer (Postgres) with strong expertise in SQL and PostgreSQL and good working knowledge in Python Scripting.

Mandatory skillset : SQL and PostgreSQL (Kindly look for SQL Developers or Database Developer) | At least 2 years of experience with Python

Good to have : AWS Services (Lambda, Step functions)

Budget : 23 LPA

Location : Kochi/TVM/Remote (Kindly consider only south candidates)

Notice period : Immediate (Expected Date of onboarding: 25th AUG)

Total Experience : 7+

Relevant Experience : 5+

Job Description / Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries using PostgreSQL for reporting, analytics, and data extraction.
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts for supporting data workflows, automation, and light transformation tasks (basic to intermediate scripting skills required).
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business users to understand requirements and translate them into robust data solutions.
  • Build and manage data pipelines and contribute to performance tuning and troubleshooting of data processes.
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and quality of data across systems.
  • Work across at least 2–3 full-cycle data engineering projects, contributing to architecture, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Leverage AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, etc., to build or enhance cloud-based data workflows.

Job Specification / Skills and Competencies

  • Strong hands-on experience in SQL development, with deep expertise in PostgreSQL.
  • Good working knowledge of Python scripting (for data manipulation and basic automation tasks).
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end data engineering projects.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Knowledge of real-time data processing and integration techniques.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services, especially Lambda, Step Functions, or similar data orchestration tools.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
  • To adhere to the Information Security Management policies and procedures.
