Role - SAP HANA - PS ( Project System)

Preferred Certifications:

• SAP Certified Application Associate Project Systems with SAP S/4HANA
• PMP / PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certifications (preferred)

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field. PMP certification or MBA in Operations/IT is a plus.
• Experience: 810 years of hands-on experience in SAP Project Systems (PS) configuration and implementation across multiple end-to-end projects.

SAP Expertise:

• Proficiency in SAP PS module, including:
• Project structuring (WBS elements, networks, activities, milestones)
• Planning and budgeting (costs, resources, dates)
• Progress analysis and earned value management
• Project settlement, results analysis, and reporting
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle management in SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Expertise in integration with other modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PM, and HR.
• Technical Skills:
• Experience with SAP PS integration to external planning tools like Microsoft Project or Primavera.
• Basic knowledge of ABAP debugging, user exits, and enhancements relevant to PS.
• Familiarity with LSMW, BAPIs, IDocs, and Fiori apps for PS is an advantage.
• Analytical Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to perform root cause analysis and provide scalable solutions.
• Ability to interpret complex business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
• Communication:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business users, functional/technical teams, and senior leadership.
• Project Management:
• Experience managing project timelines, tasks, and deliverables for SAP implementations.
• Exposure to Agile and/or Waterfall project delivery methodologies is preferred.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAP PS Consultant with 8 to 14 years of hands-on expertise in managing and implementing SAP Project Systems. The consultant will lead SAP PS configurations and work closely with business stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and integration with other SAP modules. The role involves designing project structures, ensuring cost control, and driving end-to-end SAP PS implementation aligned with organisational project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SAP PS Implementation & Configuration:

• Lead end-to-end SAP PS implementations including requirements gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live support.
• Configure SAP PS components such as WBS, networks, activities, cost planning, budgeting, milestones, and settlement rules.
• Ensure seamless integration of SAP PS with modules like FI, CO, MM, SD, PM, and HR.

2. Business Process Analysis:

• Collaborate with project and finance teams to understand project execution processes and translate them into SAP solutions.
• Analyze and document project management processes and identify areas for system and process improvements.
• Conduct gap analysis and propose SAP-based solutions tailored to business needs.

3. Integration & Support:

• Provide functional and technical support for SAP PS post-implementation.
• Resolve integration issues between SAP PS and other SAP/non-SAP systems.
• Work closely with developers on customisations related to SAP PS (ABAP, Fiori).

4. Reporting & Documentation:

• Create and maintain functional specifications, test scripts, and process documentation.
• Design and implement reports and dashboards for project tracking and performance analysis using SAP tools (Fiori, CDS Views, etc.).
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation.

5. Data Migration & Testing:

• Lead data migration activities including mapping, data validation, and reconciliation.
• Plan and conduct system testing (unit, integration, UAT) and support defect resolution.
• Ensure smooth transition of data from legacy systems into SAP PS.

6. Training & User Support:

• Prepare training documentation and conduct workshops for key users and end-users.
• Support end-user adoption by providing ongoing guidance and troubleshooting.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SAP PS-related functionalities.

7. Continuous Improvement:

• Monitor system performance and propose enhancements for process optimisation.
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in SAP S/4HANA and PS best practices.
• Drive process improvements and automation in project management using SAP PS functionalities.
