Position: Engineering Manager  

Location: Bengaluru  

Overview:   

As an Engineering Manager at Concentric AI, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of talented engineers in the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will play a crucial role in driving technical excellence, fostering a collaborative team environment, and ensuring the successful execution of projects. 

Responsibilities:  

  • People Management:  
  • Lead, mentor, hire and coach a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 
  • Set clear goals and objectives for the team and individuals and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations. 
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent. 
  • Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, and workload distribution to optimize team productivity and efficiency. 
  • Collaborate with other engineering managers and department heads to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources effectively. 
  • Technical Leadership:  
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team, ensuring alignment with best practices, architectural standards, and industry trends. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify solutions and drive architectural decisions. 
  • Totally understand the product and contribute to the product road map. 
  • Other Responsibilities:  
  • Work closely with product managers, stakeholders, and customers to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and mitigate risks. 
  • Resolve day-to-day project problems or team conflicts, strategize and manage project timelines 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering  
  • Proven track record of at least 2 years in a technical management role, leading high-performing engineering teams. 
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, methodologies, and best practices. 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members. 
  • Good hands on and understanding of Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka, RMQ) Elasticsearch, SQL, NoSQL, K8s, Kafka streams, etc 
  • Good to Have: 
  • Solid understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of container-based development & deployment (e.g. Dockers, rkt) 
  • Should have worked for cloud-based applications, built on micro services-based paradigms, achieving horizontal scaling.
