Role Overview:

As a Tax Preparer (Enrolled Agent), you'll play a pivotal role in our client-focused tax practice. You'll utilize your expertise to meticulously prepare U.S. individual and business tax returns. With a dynamic team committed to excellence, you'll have the opportunity to work remotely from the comfort of your own home.

Responsibilities:

- Utilize your in-depth understanding of tax forms and their implications to accurately prepare and review client tax returns.

- Manage the entire tax preparation process, from document collection to client signatures, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients.

- Analyze year-over-year data to identify missing information or documents, ensuring comprehensive and accurate returns.

- Collaborate closely with owners, who engage directly with clients, to ensure timely and precise completion of returns.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

- IRS Enrolled Agent status or pursuing it.

- A minimum of 2 years' experience preparing U.S. individual tax returns.

- Proficiency in navigating tax software and confidently handling tax-related documents.

- Impeccable attention to detail, combined with strong analytical skills.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

- Reliable and high-speed internet connection.

Requirements:

- Proficient in individual and business tax return preparation.

- Familiarity with W2s, 1098s, 1099s, K-1s, and schedules such as E and C.

- Skilled in completing accurate extensions with balance due payments.

- Capable of working 8-12 hour days during peak tax seasons (Jan-May, Sept-Oct) and 8-hour days during off-season.

- A reliable backup internet connection.

- Capable computer setup for efficient remote work.
