Job Description :

The role of an SAP SD Consultant requires a deep understanding of the Sales and Distribution module in SAP S/4HANA along with technical, functional, and client-facing expertise. Here's a consolidated overview of the roles and responsibilities and mandatory skills outlined :

Roles & Responsibilities :

1. Client Engagement & Requirements Gathering :

a. Actively participate in business process discussions with the client.

b. Understand existing processes, pain points, and new requirements.

c. Design effective S/4HANA solutions to address business needs.

2. Leadership & Team Management :

a. Lead functional/technical consultants for the successful delivery of SAP SD solutions.

b. Oversee project milestones and ensure smooth project closure.

c. Identify, escalate, and address project risks and issues promptly.

3. Training & Documentation :

a. Prepare and deliver Key User and End User training materials and workshops.

b. Ensure documentation of all key deliverables and processes.

c. Create and execute transition plans for Application Maintenance Teams.

4. Mentorship & Continuous Improvement :

a. Support effort estimation and standardize solutions.

b. Mentor and coach junior team members to enhance team capability.

5. Client Interaction :

a. Exhibit strong client-facing communication, both oral and written.

b. Translate business requirements into technical designs and configurations.

6. Flexibility & Availability :

a. Be open to shift work and flexible to support during weekends/holidays in urgent cases.

Mandatory Skills

1. S/4HANA Expertise :

a. Extensive configuration, design, testing, compliance, and implementation experience in SAP SD (minimum 3 full lifecycle projects and 3 support projects).

b. Proficient in S/4HANA data migration processes.

2. Core Functional Knowledge :

a. Expertise in sales order processing, order fulfillment, consignment, and returns processes.

b. Comprehensive knowledge of credit management, pricing, taxation, billing, and outputs.

3. Advanced Functional Skills :

a. Proficiency in G-ATP, Advanced Return Management, BRF+, Settlement Management, and International Trade.

4. Enhancements and Integration :

a. Hands-on experience with RICEFW objects, using APIs, User Exits, BAPIs, and BADIs.

b. Strong knowledge of integrating SAP SD with legacy systems using IDOCs.

c. Experience in SAP SD-LO (Shipping) and interfaces.

5. Technology Proficiency :

a. Familiarity with FIORI and Cloud Platform solutions.

b. Strong ABAP debugging skills for production support.

6. Cross-Module Integration :

a. Solid integration experience with MM (Materials Management) and FI (Financial Accounting).

b. Experience in managing complex business implementations
