Are you passionate about engineering smart systems that power the backbone of digital infrastructure? A leading international data center operator is seeking a Control Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join their India-based operations on a full-time, permanent basis.

In this critical role, you will lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge Building Management Systems (BMS), energy control platforms, and SCADA integrations, driving performance, reliability, and innovation across multiple data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define scope, timelines, resource needs, and cost estimates for automation and energy control projects across mission-critical environments.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of BMS enhancement initiatives, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams for vendor selection, contract negotiation, and proposal evaluation.
  • Support end-to-end commissioning of control systems, from design through to post-implementation.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of facility systems and develop scalable design strategies for optimal operations.
  • Ensure all system designs meet structural, cooling, and operational performance standards.
  • Develop playbooks and response protocols for systems vulnerability mitigation in collaboration with IT and engineering teams.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience in building systems and infrastructure controls.
  • Over 10 years of practical expertise in the design, deployment, or troubleshooting of HVAC and SCADA systems, BMS software, and automated controls.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems used in hyperscale or enterprise data center environments.
  • Skilled in developing logic-based control sequences and graphical user interfaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects involving cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with standard communication protocols such as TCP/IP, BACnet, MODBUS, and MQTT.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management tools.
