DESIGNER - VISUAL COMMUNICATION (MOTION GRAPHIC) AT MATTER

ABOUT MATTER :

We're looking for a creative Motion Graphic Designer to focus primarily on creating dynamic, engaging motion content such as explainer videos, animated GIFs, and video backgrounds. A solid foundation in graphic design (composition, colour theory, typography) is crucial, as you'll integrate static and animated elements. You'll work closely with writers and teams to develop visuals that solve business challenges while ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines. While motion design is the primary focus, occasional work on static print and digital assets will also be required.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN AND DO :

- Create engaging motion graphics for various deliverables, including explainer videos, Lottie animations, small animated GIFs, animated backgrounds, and social media content, ensuring that all motion content adheres to brand guidelines.

- Apply graphic design principles (composition, colour theory, typography) to motion graphics, ensuring high-quality visual storytelling in every project.

- Collaborate with writers, designers, and cross-functional teams to ideate and develop visual solutions that address business needs, pushing creativity within the framework of brand identity.

- Work on static print and digital collaterals (brochures, flyers, social media posts, presentations) when needed, ensuring consistency across both motion and non-motion assets.

- Ensure all creative outputs meet production specifications and are optimized for both digital and physical platforms.

- Maintain alignment with brand standards, ensuring the integrity of the brand identity across all motion design work, while also pushing innovation within the guidelines.

- Collaborate with production vendors and external teams for accurate delivery and implementation of motion content in various formats.

- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong prioritization skills, ensuring timely delivery of motion and static assets.

- Perform video editing and sound design for motion graphic projects to create a complete, polished final product.

- Provide creative input and feedback during brainstorming sessions with other team members to drive forward-thinking visual communication solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO US :

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop), Figma, and other motion and graphic design software.

- Strong foundation in graphic design principles (composition, colour theory, typography) with the ability to translate these into motion-based deliverables.

- Proven experience in creating motion graphics for digital platforms, including explainer videos, animated GIFs, Lottie animations, and social media content.

- Experience with video editing and sound design to complement motion graphic content.

- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams, including writers and other designers.

- Ability to create both motion and static design assets, with motion graphics being the primary focus.

- A portfolio showcasing a range of motion graphics work, as well as supporting static design pieces.

- Familiarity with production specifications for both digital and print deliverables.
