Job Title – AWS Redshift Expert

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Redshift Expert to join our data engineering team. This role is critical to supporting our AWS ProServe engagements and internal analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Redshift architecture, performance tuning, and integration with BI tools such as Looker. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including AWS tech leads, data analysts, and client stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.

Key Responsibilities


• Design, deploy, and manage AWS Redshift clusters for enterprise-scale data warehousing.


• Optimise query performance using DISTKEY, SORTKEY, and materialised views


• Collaborate with BI teams to refactor LookML models and improve dashboard performance


• Conduct performance benchmarking and implement automated alerts for degradation


• Lead data migration efforts from platforms like BigQuery to Redshift


• Ensure data security, compliance, and backup/recovery protocols are in place


• Provide technical leadership during client interviews and solution discussions

Required Skills & Experience


• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with at least 3 years focused on AWS Redshift.


• Hands-on experience with Redshift performance tuning and workload management.


• Familiarity with BI tools like Looker, Power BI, and semantic layer optimisation


• Experience in cloud architecture and AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC)


• Excellent communication skills to interface with clients and internal leadership.
