Job Title- Staff Engineer, QA We are looking for Web Quality Assurance and Test Engineers with strong expertise in both manual and automation testing. Candidates should have a B.Tech in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of technical education and work experience. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in Agile Quality Assurance and Testing Engineering, including at least 4 years each in manual testing, automation testing, and scripting/coding. They should have a solid understanding of Agile QA methodologies and tools, and experience working closely with product engineering teams, software engineers, and product managers to understand business and technical requirements, assess risks, and ensure quality. A customer-focused mindset is essential, with the ability to view product features from the end-user perspective. The role requires hands-on experience in test planning, test design, test strategy, and execution, as well as the ability to organize test cases effectively, write acceptance tests, and interpret acceptance criteria for user stories. Proficiency in test-driven development (TDD) is a plus. Candidates should have practical knowledge of automation tools such as Playwright and Cypress, and be able to write test scripts in JavaScript or TypeScript. Additional technical expertise should include performing HTTP request and response schema validation, handling HTTP response codes and exceptions, testing GraphQL APIs, using browser developer tools, and performing accessibility testing using tools like JAWS. Proficiency in Playwright, Cypress, JIRA, Confluence, and browser developer tools is expected at an expert level, while JAWS proficiency should be at an intermediate level. The role follows IST working hours, from 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
