Senior Platform Security Consultant

Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior Platform Security Consultant /Administrator with a strong background in vulnerability management and remediation across both Windows and Linux platforms. The candidate will work as a single point of accountability for addressing open vulnerabilities reported by the Cybersecurity team and ensuring timely remediation across infrastructure.

This is a critical individual contributor role intended for a senior professional capable of working independently with minimal oversight.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Take ownership of vulnerability remediation activities across Windows and Linux server environments

• Review, triage, and act upon vulnerability scan reports and advisories provided by the Cybersecurity team

• Apply OS-level and application-level patches, hotfixes, and configuration changes as required

• Implement security baselines and hardening procedures for Windows and Linux platforms

• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and compliance teams to prioritize remediation actions

• Maintain accurate records of resolved vulnerabilities and remediation timelines

• Coordinate system downtime or maintenance windows to apply critical fixes with minimal impact

• Conduct periodic system reviews to validate the closure of previously identified vulnerabilities

• Ensure systems are aligned with compliance standards such as ISO 27001, SAMA, NCA, and internal controls

• Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation of patching and security enforcement

• Manage secure environments including segmented networks, firewalled zones, and DMZ-based infrastructure

• Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for leadership and audit teams

• Monitor platform health and enforce access control, log auditing, and event monitoring policies

• Maintain up-to-date documentation for processes, patching workflows, and configuration changes

• Stay current on security vulnerabilities, advisories (e.g., CVEs), and patch management tools

Requirements

Technical & Professional Skills:

• Minimum 8–10 years of hands-on experience in platform security administration across enterprise environments

• Proven expertise in both Windows and Linux systems (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Windows Server)

• Experience in vulnerability remediation, patch management, and system hardening practices

• Strong understanding of operating system internals, security policies, and user access control

• Proficient in scripting (PowerShell for Windows, Bash for Linux) for automation

• Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools for performance tracking and alerting

• Exposure to secure network architectures including firewalls and DMZ zones

• Working knowledge of CVE databases, patch bulletins, and vulnerability assessment processes

• Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SAMA, and NCA

• Experience in managing infrastructure with minimal supervision under tight deadlines
