The role involves developing and maintaining scalable backend systems, APIs, and services that power our applications. Prior experience in Quick Commerce, eCommerce, or other consumer-facing platforms will be considered a strong advantage.Buncha is a rapidly expanding social commerce and delivery platform transforming how customers connect with the stores they love. Our platform is built on four core values: being Neighborly to our communities, staying Dedicated to excellence, embracing Bold innovation, and communicating Authentically in all interactions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain high-quality backend systems and services.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Build and manage APIs (RESTful/GraphQL) to support product functionalities.Optimize application performance and database queries for scalability.Ensure application reliability, security, and performance standards are met.Work with cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure) for hosting and deployment.Participate in code reviews, testing, and best practices for software development.Contribute to architecture discussions and help improve overall system design.Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.2-3 years of hands-on backend development experience in a product-based company.Proficiency in backend programming language Node.js(must have), Python, etc.Experience with frameworks such as Express.js and Graphql.Strong understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL – MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis).Exposure to microservices architecture, APIs, and event-driven systems like Kafka/RabbitMQ.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and CI/CD practices.Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) will be a plus.Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ and Kafka for event-driven systems.Experience with Elastic Search will be considered a plus.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments.Proven ability to prioritize, manage and execute projects with self-starting attitude, responsibility, and accountabilityExcellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.Should be comfortable working in evening shift (from 2pm IST onwards)What We Offer●   Competitive salary package●   Health insurance coverage●   Opportunities for career growth and professional development●   Completely Work From Home●   Desire to work in a rapidly growing and ever-changing startup 5 days per week●   5 days per week
