Role Summary :

The Manager for Africa Partnerships will spearhead Kumaraguru Institutions’ outreach and collaborations with universities, governments, NGOs, and industries in African countries. The role will focus on building strategic academic partnerships, student/faculty mobility, joint research initiatives, and capacity-building programs, positioning Kumaraguru as a trusted education partner in Africa.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Partnership Development

- Identify and build partnerships with universities, ministries of education, research

councils, and industry bodies across Africa.

- Facilitate signing and execution of MoUs, twinning programs, and joint academic

initiatives.

- Explore opportunities in consultancy, training, and executive education for African

institutions.

2. Student & Faculty Mobility

- Develop frameworks for African students to pursue higher education at KI.

- Design exchange programs and summer schools for mutual learning.

- Coordinate faculty exchanges, visiting lectureships, and collaborative teaching.

3. Research & Projects

- Scout and connect faculty to collaborative research opportunities with African

partners.

- Identify funding opportunities (World Bank, AfDB, UNESCO, EU, etc.) for joint projects.

4. Outreach & Representation

- Represent KI in African higher education expos, forums, and consortia.

- Conduct info sessions, webinars, and delegations to promote KI in Africa.

- Build alumni networks of African graduates from KI to strengthen community ties.

5. Internal Engagement

- Work closely with KI schools, departments, and faculty to align African engagements

with institutional strategy.

- Provide regular reports, partnership intelligence, and growth strategies to the

Qualifications & Experience

- Master’s degree in International Relations, Education Management, or related fields.

- 5–8 years of experience at Leadership Level in international partnerships, preferably with exposure to

Africa.

- Strong networks in African higher education/government sectors (preferred).

- Excellent communication, cross-cultural, and negotiation skills.
