Job Purpose

Lead Accounts Receivable will be responsible for managing the Accounts Receivables, managing company owned brand stores & workshops and managing regional commercials roles of Royal Enfield. The incumbent will bring in more governance and rigor into the Controllership function by ensuring maintenance of effective controls and implementing a continuous improvement process. He/ she is responsible for tracking revenue and ensuring payments are received and accurately recorded. He/ She will drive process refinement at all levels by bringing in better process efficiency and control thereby driving optimal engagement in the teams.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Lead and oversee the day-to-day management of all aspects of the Accounts Receivable (AR) function, year-end review/audit, insurance and external compliance
  • Drive excellence in stewardship of financials by proactively planning and executing internal audits and open points closure within agreed turn-around-time (TAT).
  • Oversee controllership MIS with timely publishing of actuals backed with insights, forecasting results and creating reports
  • Monitor time recording and reporting of correct revenue / receivable for all business line (Motorcycle, Spares, Apparel / Genuine Motorcycle Accessories / Finance Income / Service Products)
  • Support business improvement process such as billing through Depots, set up of new Warehouse / relocation projects
  • Evaluate and develop a plan for set up of retail insurance brokerage and to improve Transit claims within TAT
  • Maintain internal controls by preparing end to end SOP and control documents for systems linked to SAP
  • Implement Digitization/ automation projects, thereby moving towards a fully digitized and tech driven function
  • Mentor, coach and lead the controllership AR team, attract, plan future manpower needs and drive employee engagement while providing learning and development opportunities
  • Ensure closure of Dealer issues (Credit note, Debit Note, Incentive, GST Queries) within timeline
  • Ensure that all accounts receivable procedures are in compliance with legal regulations including timely return filing and implementing statutory changes such as e-invoice or new TDS rules whenever notified
  • Ensure compliance with GST statutory requirements in AR function
  • Ensure monthly book closing activities are completed within agreed timelines and provide variance explanations
  • Undertake periodic balance sheet review of revenue related GLs
  • Manage commercial activities at company owned brand stores, workshops and depots

  • 15+ years' overall experience in Finance function including 5+ years in a AR leadership role
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting and management principles
  • Experience in Manufacturing industry
  • Should have handled a large team
  • Hands on experience with SAP
