About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in data quality monitoring and observability tools like Soda Core (SODAS), Great Expectations, or Monte Carlo. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and trustworthiness of our data pipelines by automating data quality checks and integrating them into our data workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated data quality checks using Soda Core or similar tools.
  • Integrate data quality validation into ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to define data quality SLAs and KPIs.
  • Monitor data pipelines for anomalies, schema changes, and data drift.
  • Set up alerting and reporting mechanisms for data quality issues.
  • Contribute to the development of a data observability framework across the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or automation.
  • Strong knowledge of Soda Core, Great Expectations, or other data quality tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Experience with dbt, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.).
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and version control (Git).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Monte Carlo, Anomalo, or SAS Viya.
  • Exposure to data governance and metadata management.
  • Knowledge of data cataloging tools (e.g., Alation, Collibra).
