Bengaluru.Position Title: Senior Engineer 1, AndroidDescription:We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to contribute to the design, development and maintenance of our Abercrombie and Hollister Android apps. The developer will help with the entire app lifecycle right from concept stage until delivery and post launch support. In addition to delivering the product, the candidate will be heavily involved in driving the mobile strategy at Abercrombie & Fitch.What Will You Be Doing?Acting as senior Android developer on our Abercrombie and Hollister Android apps and SDKDeliver across the entire app life cycle – concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores, and supportCollaborate with internal and external teams - Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Marketers to conceptualize, build, test, and realize new featuresStandardize platform to be able to deliver across multiple brands with minimal effortStandardize and enforce coding standards and best practices, including optimizing the apps for performanceCollaborate with other development teams (API, iOS, Web) on architectural vision and roadmapContinuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiencyKeep up to date on the latest industry trends in mobile technologiesWhat Do You Need to Bring?B. E/ B. Tech/ Any master's degree in computer science, MIS, or related field6-9 years of experience with Java and Android SDKExperience working with KotlinWorked on at least one publicly available app (please provide link to the app(s) via Google Play)Expertise in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, complexity analysis, and debuggingExpertise in architecting/designing/developing highly performant Android applicationsExperience with web service integration (REST, JSON, XML)Experience of development using web technologiesGood understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and PHPExperience with third-party libraries and APIs (e.G. social media). Vendor & 3rd partiesExperience implementing push notification strategiesExperience using version control (e.G. git)Familiarity with Agile development and works well in a large cross-functional teamStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to mentor junior developers and lead technical discussionsExperience with testing frameworks such as Espresso and Junit (any of these or similar)Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins/GitHub Actions/ BitriseExperience with Jetpack Compose (preferred)Familiarity with modular app architecture (preferred)Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogs (preferred)
