Job Description
Develop and execute public affairs strategies for clients in the logistics and infrastructure sectors. Provide strategic counsel to clients on public policy, regulatory issues, and stakeholder engagement. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and community organisations. Lead advocacy efforts to influence policy decisions and regulatory outcomes favourable to clients. Oversee crisis communication and reputation management initiatives. Manage a team of public affairs professionals, providing mentorship and professional development. Collaborate with other departments within the firm to deliver integrated solutions to clients. Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and other communication materials for clients and stakeholders. Managing account administration, including staffing (utilisation andproductivity targets), budgeting, invoicing, and reporting. Developing innovative and influential thought leadership content. Leading new business development
The Successful Applicant
Atleast 14+ years of experience in similar roles in agencies, government, political parties, the civil service, NGOs, associations, or private firms. Degree (BS/BA, MA, MBA) in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience (communications, public affairs, economics and the like). Experience in communications wrt public affairs, policy and legislative matters Exceptional record of leadership, strategy development and expertise in client management. Proven and respected thought and business leader. Experienced in effectively influencing, managing, and developing diverse teams. Proven ability to support the development of effective pitches for new business, as well as advance internal initiatives. Deep and trusted relationships with key stakeholders. Ability to effectively prioritise and solve complex problems while making decisions with an entrepreneurial mindset. Relationship builder, demonstrating an ability to listen and respond to a wide variety of constituencies.-
