Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Design Engineer with 6–8 years of hands-on experience in Analog/digital circuit design, high-speed PCB layout, and Electronic/Electrical system validation. This role demands a strong understanding of Multilayer PCB design, Power management, Signal & Power Integrity and EMI/EMC compliance, with a proven track record in delivering complex, production-grade hardware for cutting-edge Electro-optics products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Analog and Digital circuits including component selection, schematic design, and PCB layout (up to 8–10 layers)
  • Use EDA tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence, Xpedition, Allegro, OrCAD for schematic and PCB development
  • Ensure signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal considerations are addressed in designs
  • Develop and maintain BoMs, design documentation, and test plans
  • Perform board bring-up, hardware testing, and debugging using lab equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Function generators and Logic analyzers.
  • Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC design best practices at PCB, Sub-System and System level.
  • Collaborate with Firmware, Software, Mechanical, Production and Service teams.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot production and site units as and when required
  • Build and test prototypes and drive design reviews
  • Coordinate with PCB fabricators and EMS vendors to facilitate manufacturability and timely deliveries.
  • Conduct feasibility analysis and trade-off studies during concept and architecture phase.
  • Support DFM/DFT activities and ensure designs meet reliability and quality targets

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering

Experience:

  • 6–8 years of hands-on hardware design in product development environments
  • Demonstrated experience with Power electronics, Signal conditioning, and Mixed-signal Design
  • Proven delivery of designs compliant with international standards (e.g., FCC, CE, UL, RoHS)

Technical Skills:

  • Circuit design (Analog and Digital) using modern EDA tools
  • Proficiency in multilayer PCB design (8–10 layers), signal integrity, power distribution, and thermal management
  • Experience with Microcontrollers, Microprocessor, SoCs, and communication interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, RS485, USB).
  • Hands-on experience in hardware debug, rework, and component-level troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with simulation tools such as LTspice, Multisim, Altium SIM
  • Strong knowledge of earthing and grounding at both board and system levels
  • Experience in DFM/DFT, PCB stack-up design, impedance control, and EMI mitigation
  • Board bring-up experience and test plan execution

  • Ability to manage timelines and deliver quality outcomes under tight schedules

Preferred (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with FPGA
  • Experience in high-speed digital interfaces and signal integrity simulation
  • Exposure to electro-optics or mechatronic system development environments
  • Familiarity with environmental, thermal shock, or reliability testing protocols
