Assistant Accountant – Construction Division

About the Role Athene Constructions is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support our construction accounting operations . You’ll work under the guidance of our Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day bookkeeping, site-level expense tracking, vendor payments, and project-wise cost analysis. This role is dedicated exclusively to our construction projects , ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting across all sites.Key Responsibilities Maintain daily bookkeeping in Zoho Books / Tally or other accounting systems. Record all construction-related transactions – material purchases, vendor bills, labour payments, and petty cash. Track project-wise costs and assist in preparing cost-to-completion reports. Support bank reconciliation , GST data preparation, and vendor payment schedules. Coordinate with site engineers and project managers for expense verification. Prepare and maintain supporting documents for audits and statutory compliance. Assist the Senior Accountant in monthly closing and management reports. Qualifications B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent. 3–6 years of experience in accounting (construction experience preferred). Hands-on with Zoho Books , Tally , or MS Excel . Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and vendor management . Strong attention to detail, organizational, and follow-up skills.
