We are currently seeking a visionary and experienced General Manager - Design and Engineering for a full-time, on-site position at our New Delhi headquarters. This role is pivotal in shaping the strategic direction and operational excellence of our design and engineering functions. The General Manager will lead and manage the engineering team, ensuring that all solar power system designs meet the highest standards of quality, innovation, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the overall design and engineering strategy for Vibgyor Energy, aligning with the company's mission and growth objectives.

- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of design and engineering professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Project Oversight: Oversee the conceptualization, design, and development of solar power systems, ensuring that all projects meet client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

- Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce rigorous quality control processes across all engineering designs, including conducting audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

- Innovation and Best Practices: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in solar technology and engineering practices, integrating cutting-edge innovations into the design process.

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, procurement, and sales, to ensure seamless execution of projects from inception to completion.

- Client Engagement: Act as a key technical liaison with clients, addressing technical inquiries, providing design solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

- Resource Management: Optimize the allocation of resources, including manpower, materials, and technology, to enhance efficiency and project profitability.

- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve design and engineering processes, implementing lean methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

- Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all designs comply with local and international codes, standards, and regulations pertinent to solar power systems.

- Budget Management: Develop and manage the design and engineering budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality.

- Training and Development: Identify and implement training programs to enhance the technical skills and competencies of the engineering Extensive Engineering Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in design engineering and mechanical/electrical engineering principles, particularly within the solar industry.

- Advanced CAD Proficiency: Proficiency in using advanced CAD tools for accurate system modeling and design.

- Comprehensive Electrical Engineering Experience: Strong background in electrical engineering, with a deep understanding of AC and DC systems, including inverters, transformers, and other critical components.

- Leadership and Management Experience: Proven experience in leading and managing large engineering teams, with a strong track record in project management and team development.

- Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving: Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving innovation and efficiency.

- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field). A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field is a plus.

- Solar Industry Experience: A minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in the solar industry, with a comprehensive understanding of industry codes, standards, and best practices.

- Proven Track Record: A successful history of leading large-scale solar design and engineering projects, demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
