Clinical Supply Chain Coordinator

Job Summary
The External Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the external part of the clinical trial distribution supply chain. This role ensures operational excellence within the network and manages all outsourcing activities related to clinical distribution.Main Responsibilities:
- Manages finance activities including Request for Proposal (RFP) for bidding & vendor selection, Grants, Purchase Orders (PO), invoice approval and tracking financial metrics.
- Evaluates risks of the distribution strategy and provides guidance on setup optimization.
- Coordinates distribution order preparation and resolves questions proactively.
- Reviews vendor capacity, resource planning, and distribution tracker.
- Flags potential issues or bottlenecks due to high demands, seasonal situations, or local/regional issues.
- Ensures compliance to industry standards by external distribution vendors.
- Monitors and analyzes vendor performance with pre-defined KPIs.
- Drives innovation in process simplification and cost reduction.
- Provides and analyzes reports on various distribution and finance-related topics.
Requirements:
- >5 years of practical experience in chemical/pharmaceutical industry or > 3 years of experience in field of expertise.
- Good expertise in related field.
- Good knowledge about the Drug Development process.
- Basic project management, good organization, and planning skills.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g. GMP, HSE etc.) and industry specific standards.
- Demonstrates problem-solving and idea generation skills.
- Good presentation skills.
- Fundamental Leadership skills.
- Very good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
