Role Overview:

The Group Account Manager (GAM) will oversee multiple client accounts, driving high-level marketing strategies and ensuring outstanding project delivery. The role involves managing teams, fostering client relationships, and maximizing account growth through strategic direction and operational excellence.

Must Have Skills:
  • Client Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build and sustain long-term relationships with high-profile clients.
  • Strategic Thinking: Expertise in developing comprehensive marketing strategies that align with business objectives and drive results.
  • Business Acumen: A solid understanding of how marketing contributes to business growth and how to translate client goals into actionable strategies.
  • Financial Understanding: Strong financial acumen, including budget management, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
    • Project and Time Management: Proficiency in managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
    • Negotiation Skills: Skilled in negotiating terms, contracts, and project agreements that are favorable for both the agency and the client.
    • Cross-Selling & Up-Selling: Ability to identify growth opportunities and expand client business through additional services.
    • Leadership & Managerial Skills: Proven leadership experience in managing teams and guiding them to deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions.
    • Team Collaboration: Ability to foster collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive marketing strategies.
    • PowerPoint: Proficiency in creating compelling presentations to effectively communicate strategies and campaign results to clients.
    • Brief Writing & Understanding: Expertise in creating detailed, actionable briefs that enable teams to execute projects aligned with client expectations.
    • Agency Background: Extensive experience working within a marketing or communications agency, managing multiple accounts.
    • Grievances & Escalations: Skilled at resolving client grievances, managing escalations, and ensuring client satisfaction.
    • Understanding of Digital Marketing: Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools, strategies, and platforms, with the ability to guide digital initiatives.
    Interpersonal Skills:
    • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and high-quality delivery of client projects.
    • Multi-Tasking & Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • Takes Initiative: A proactive approach to solving problems and identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • Willingness to Learn: An openness to learning and adapting to new trends, technologies, and client needs in the marketing landscape.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in global account management, preferably in marketing or communications.
    • Demonstrated experience managing complex, high-stakes projects across different regions.
    • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
