This isn’t your typical corporate branding role. The Associate Vice President - Brand will own the critical task of stitching together the company’s core brand pillars—content, player narratives, promotional initiatives, and the gaming product—into a cohesive story that enhances the brand’s authenticity and market presence.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a startup-like environment and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to execute campaigns, build processes, and bridge gaps between management and teams. This is a highly collaborative role, requiring an individual who can act as the operational glue between the leadership and various teams to ensure seamless execution of brand strategies.
Key Differentiator : This role suits someone who has transitioned from an agency background to working in a fast-paced brand environment (preferably startups, e-commerce, or gaming). We want someone with hands-on experience who can align with the entrepreneurial spirit and passion for innovation.
- Brand Cohesion and Integration :
- Unify the company’s core pillars:
- Content Creation : Oversee narratives that resonate with audiences.
- Hero Building : Develop engaging campaigns around rising stars in the field, positioning them as leaders and role models.
- Promotions & Events : Lead impactful online and offline campaigns to amplify visibility.
- Product Excellence : Highlight the cutting-edge features and unique offerings of the gaming product through compelling storytelling.
- Collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to integrate these elements into a unified and compelling brand identity.
- Leadership and Stakeholder Collaboration :
- Act as the bridge between senior management and brand departments (content, promotions, social media).
- Provide guidance to teams while aligning their goals with the company’s strategic vision.
- Work closely with product, technology, data analytics, and operations teams to execute campaigns seamlessly.
- Operational Ownership :
- Identify and address gaps in current brand strategies.
- Structure workflows and establish processes to improve efficiency and ensure no campaign is left unfinished.
- Brand Positioning :
- Enhance the brand’s authenticity and market positioning through thoughtful campaigns that showcase its decade-long expertise and leadership in the gaming industry.
- Expand the platform’s audience reach while fostering deeper engagement with existing players.
- Metrics and Success :
- Define and monitor KPIs across campaigns, including content reach, brand exposure, promotional effectiveness, and player engagement.
- Professional Background :
- 10-15 years of experience, with a proven track record in branding within fast-paced environments such as startups, gaming, or e-commerce.
- Candidates with agency-to-brand transitions are highly preferred, as they combine creative thinking with practical execution.
- Hands-on experience in promotions, events, and multi-channel campaigns is a must.
- Collaborative Leadership :
- Ability to work closely with senior management while leading and motivating diverse teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster alignment across functions and manage relationships with external partners.
- Execution and Problem-Solving :
- A doer who thrives on solving operational challenges and creating order out of chaos.
- Comfortable in environments that require high agility, quick decision-making, and resourceful execution.
- Deep Industry Understanding :
- Knowledge of the gaming ecosystem and a genuine interest in skill-based games is highly desirable.
- An understanding of skill-based gaming as a sport and its cultural nuances will be an added advantage.
