The Head of Finance & Commercials is responsible for leading and overseeing all financial and commercial activities within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Finance & Account Management
  • Lead the finance team towards common financial objectives and ensure robust internal financial controls.
  • Oversee the budgeting process, financial planning, and forecasting.
  • Evaluate statutory audits and finalize books of accounts accurately.
  • Present accurate financial statements and manage interactions with auditors and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory obligations.
  • Develop and streamline cost systems, controls, and accounting processes.
  • Manage overall financial functions and allocate resources effectively.
  • Conduct risk management to safeguard the organization's financial stability.
Procurement Function
  • Define and implement procurement strategies and policies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Negotiate strategic procurements, oversee procurement contracts, and manage vendor agreements.
  • Ensure effective management of procurement processes and tools to meet organizational needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance, procurement costs, budgets, and regularly report to senior management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure efficiency and reliability.
MIS Planning and Reporting
  • Ensure accuracy of General Ledger and associated financial schedules.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports (Balance Sheet, Income & Expenditure, Working Capital) for senior management.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to financial queries from leadership.
People Management
  • Allocate tasks and responsibilities within the finance team and monitor performance.
  • Provide regular feedback and support professional development.
  • Address team grievances effectively and mentor team members.
  • Support HR in recruitment and staffing processes as required.

Objectives:

  1. Accuracy and timeliness of financial planning and reporting.
  2. Compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.
  3. Efficiency and effectiveness of internal financial controls.
  4. Quality and sustainability of procurement practices and vendor relationships.
  5. Leadership effectiveness, team performance, and employee engagement.
