Position: Audit AssistantExperience: 1–2 YearsLocation: Ashok Nagar, ChennaiFirm: VRU & Co., Chartered Accountants Role Overview:We are seeking a proactive Audit Assistant to support our audit and compliance engagements. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in accounting, taxation, statutory filings, and on-ground audit work.Key Responsibilities:Assist in statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.Prepare and file Income Tax Returns, Tax Audits and support assessment-related work.Manage GST filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual Return) and handle GST appeals and refunds.Maintain accurate accounting records and perform ledger scrutiny.Coordinate with clients for data collection, follow-ups, and documentation.Ensure timely completion of assignments with professional quality standards.Required Skills & Competencies:Working knowledge of Income Tax, Tax Audit, GST law, and GST portal operations.Ability to handle accounting software (Tally is mandatory).Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.Effective communication and willingness to learn.Prior experience in a Chartered Accountant's office will be considered a strong advantage (additional value).Qualification:CA/CMA/CA Inter/CMA Inter/Semi Qualified CA/CMAWhat We Offer:Learning exposure across diverse industries.Opportunity for professional growth and mentorship.Collaborative and performance-driven work environment.
