Role Overview
At Demos, we are seeking a Digital Insights Analyst to power high-impact political campaigns in Tamil Nadu with data-backed insights that drive ad performance and social media growth .
You will be responsible for building and maintaining real-time dashboards in Power BI, deep-diving into ad and content metrics , and interpreting platform-specific performance across Meta, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Beyond tracking numbers, you will apply advanced analytics to optimize ad spends, refine targeting strategies, and influence both creative and platform strategy .
The role demands a mix of campaign pulse tracking, audience behavior analysis, and technical expertise in structured and unstructured data from ad platforms, organic engagement metrics, and social listening. You will work closely with the Ads Manager, Social Media Platform Manager, and Creative Team to ensure campaigns remain agile, efficient, and ahead of the trend curve.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Tracking & Dashboard Management
- Build, maintain, and update dynamic dashboards in Power BI with a focus on ads and social media performance metrics .
- Automate ad performance and social engagement reports to reduce manual work and enable faster decision-making.
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs for paid campaigns (CTR, CPC, CPM, CPA, ROAS, view rates, engagement rates) and organic content (reach, impressions, ER%, follower growth, share-of-voice).
- Monitor audience behavior metrics such as watch time, scroll depth, retention rates, and conversion paths across platforms.
Advanced Analytics & Insight Generation
- Interpret post-wise and ad performance to identify high-impact content formats, targeting strategies, and optimization areas.
- Conduct A/B testing analysis for ad creatives, captions, CTAs, and placement types to guide campaign optimizations.
- Apply statistical techniques and machine learning models (e.g., regression, clustering, recommendation) to gain deeper campaign insights.
- Analyze unstructured datasets (comments, hashtags, trends) to gauge audience sentiment and inform creative direction.
- Spot budget inefficiencies and underperforming segments and recommend immediate corrective actions.
Visual Reporting & Communication
- Create impactful visual reports and infographics highlighting key ad spend ROI, content engagement trends, and audience growth metrics .
- Present findings in a clear, actionable narrative tailored to non-technical campaign decision-makers.
- Translate analytics into platform-specific recommendations for the creative team.
Collaboration & Campaign Alignment
- Partner with the Ads Manager to monitor campaign pulse and adjust targeting or content as needed.
- Work closely with social media teams to align paid and organic strategies.
Data Governance & Best Practices
- Maintain high data accuracy by verifying ad and platform API integrations, UTM tagging, and tracking pixel implementation.
- Stay updated on platform algorithm changes (Meta, X, YouTube, LinkedIn) and campaign compliance norms.
- Implement best practices in campaign data storage, retrieval, and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Marketing Analytics, or a related analytical discipline.
Experience & Technical Skills
- Minimum requirement: Proficiency in Power BI for dashboard building and analytics.
- Proven experience in ad and social media performance analytics , preferably in political, social impact, or entertainment sectors.
- Familiarity with Facebook Ads Manager, YouTube Analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Twitter Ads , and third-party analytics tools.
- Knowledge of Tableau, Google Data Studio, Airtable, Notion is a plus.
- Basic understanding of Python/R for data analytics is a plus.

- Strong communication skills in Tamil and English .

- Detail-oriented, deadline-focused, and adaptable to rapid campaign changes.
