About the Role:

Getronics is seeking a visionary and highly experienced Cloud Chief Architect to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining and driving the technical cloud strategy for Getronics and its key clients.

The Cloud Chief Architect will be the foremost technical authority, leading complex architectural discussions with C-level executives and technical teams, translating business requirements into robust, scalable, and future-proof cloud solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess 15+ years of extensive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a Technical Architect role, demonstrating a proven track record of designing and implementing sophisticated cloud architectures. You will champion innovation, embed best practices, and ensure our solutions embody the principles of PREDICT (anticipating future needs and risks), PREVENT (proactively mitigating issues and ensuring resilience), and PERFORM (optimizing for efficiency, scalability, and business outcomes).

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Technical Leadership & Vision:
• Define and articulate the overarching cloud architectural vision and strategy for Getronics' offerings and client engagements.
• Develop and maintain multi-year cloud technology roadmaps, ensuring alignment with industry trends, emerging technologies, and business objectives.
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of new cloud technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance Getronics' competitive edge.
• Champion the "PREDICT, PREVENT, PERFORM" framework in all architectural designs and client solutions.
  • Client Engagement & Solution Evangelism:
  • Act as the primary technical interface for strategic clients, leading high-level architectural discussions, workshops, and presentations.
  • Understand complex client business challenges and translate them into effective, innovative cloud-based technical strategies and solutions.
  • Articulate the value proposition of Getronics' cloud solutions, demonstrating how they address client needs for predictability, security, resilience, performance, and cost-efficiency.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with client CTOs, CIOs, and other senior technical stakeholders.
    • Solution Architecture & Design Excellence:
    • Oversee and guide the design of complex, large-scale, multi-cloud, and hybrid cloud solutions, ensuring they are secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized.
    • Develop and enforce architectural best practices, standards, patterns, and governance frameworks across cloud projects.
    • Provide expert guidance on cloud platform selection (AWS, Azure, GCP, Hybrid), service integration, data architecture, security architecture, and operational design.
    • Lead architectural reviews and provide technical oversight for critical cloud projects, ensuring quality and adherence to defined standards.
      • Pre-Sales & Business Development Support:
      • Collaborate closely with sales and pre-sales teams to develop compelling technical proposals, RFP responses, and proof-of-concept demonstrations.
      • Provide expert architectural input during the sales cycle, helping to qualify opportunities and shape winning solutions.
      • Contribute to the development of new service offerings and intellectual property within the Cloud Business Unit.
        • Mentorship & Technical Community Leadership:
        • Mentor and guide other cloud architects and senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
        • Act as a thought leader both internally and externally, representing Getronics at industry events, webinars, and in publications.
        • Drive the development of reusable architectural assets, whitepapers, and best practice guides.
          • Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
          • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in cloud computing, containerization, serverless, AI/ML, IoT, DevOps, FinOps, and related technologies.
          • Proactively identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies to create differentiated value for Getronics and its clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of overall IT experience, with a strong background in infrastructure, application development, and enterprise architecture.
• Minimum 5 years of dedicated experience as a Technical Architect or Solutions Architect, with a significant focus on cloud technologies.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in designing, implementing, and managing complex solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS and Azure mandatory; GCP highly desirable).
• Proven experience architecting and delivering hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• In-depth understanding of core cloud services: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, compute (VMs, containers, serverless), storage, networking, security (identity, WAF, firewalls, compliance), databases, analytics, AI/ML, and IoT.
• Strong experience with cloud-native architecture patterns, microservices, API management, and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in DevOps principles and tools (CI/CD, IaC - Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation/ARM Templates).
• Solid understanding of FinOps principles and cloud cost management/optimization strategies.
• Demonstrable experience leading technical discussions with C-level executives and influencing strategic decisions.
• Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into tangible technical solutions.

Required Skills:

• Professional or Expert-level certifications from AWS (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional) and/or Azure (e.g., Solutions Architect Expert).
• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE) and container orchestration.
• Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and middleware technologies.
• Experience in specific industry verticals (e.g., Finance, Retail, Manufacturing) is a plus.
• Familiarity with IT governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, TOG
