Job Title: Finance Shared ServicesLocation: MumbaiExperience: 1-2 yearsPosition PurposeContribute to the performance of 2nd level accounting control of BNP Paribas entities in Asia Pacific. Drive the account owner sign-off and first-level accounting control certification process. Perform and document accounting controls and analysis. Support automation initiatives for accounting control processes and standardisation of booking schemes across entities.ResponsibilitiesPerform 2nd level accounting controls on key areas defined by the companys Standard Accounting Control Group Plan, including:• Deal and position reconciliations• Nostro reconciliations• Manual entries• Dormant accounts• Risk rating and provisioning• Intercompany reconciliations• Internal deals• FX sell-downIdentify system/control deficiencies and recommend improvements to strengthen the accounting control environment.Maintain and update the Accounting Control Repository Database with changes in accounts, controls, and ownership.Generate and release account owner sign-off and first-level control certification packages based on repository data.Monitor account and 1st level control sign-offs and escalate issues.Support preparation of “Entity Control Reports” providing CFOs with accounting control outcomes on a monthly basis.Monitor accounting control outcomes using key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs).Prepare ad hoc control memos for escalated control issues.Coordinate with the Regional Financial Reporting Team to address accounting issues.Report incidents and accounting issues promptly.Contributing ResponsibilitiesSupport companes’ operational permanent control framework.Technical & Behavioral Competencies.Technical CompetenciesQualified "Chartered Accountant".Minimum 3+ years’ experience in accounting audit or accounting control.Banking experience — Mandatory.Knowledge of IFRS standards — Preferable.Strong understanding of financial instruments.Familiarity with investment banking products.Former audit experience OR experience in accounting controls within Finance in Banking/Financial Services — Mandatory.Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.Apply: malyala.t@twsol.com
