Job Title: Head Project - Transmission BusinessLocation: Ahmedabad Role PurposeThe Head - Projects is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and commissioning oftransmission projects within AESL, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals ofoperational excellence, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. This role is pivotal in driving AESL’smission to revolutionize energy delivery through innovative solutions, including smart meteringand green power integration. The incumbent will lead cross-functional teams, foster a culture ofsafety and quality, and build strong relationships with government authorities to ensureseamless project execution. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, incorporating industry benchmarks,alternative strategies, and contingency measures to ensure project success. - Drive the execution of transmission projects by monitoring progress against cost, resource,and timeline benchmarks, ensuring adherence to quality standards. - Achieve project milestones within approved budgets and timelines by effectively managingfinancial and operational resources. - Standardize project management processes across locations by implementing robustsystems and tools to ensure consistent execution. - Facilitate project start-up activities, including the creation of tailored project organograms,alignment of capex plans, contract agreements, and mobilization schedules. - Foster a culture of safety by enforcing stringent safety protocols and creating a secure workenvironment for employees and contractors. - Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, including ROW, stateadministration, police, and forest departments, to secure necessary clearances andapprovals. - Conduct regular reviews with engineering and EPC teams to align on project goals, resolveissues, and monitor progress. - Oversee cash flow and cost control measures, ensuring alignment with financial goals andmaintaining project financial efficiency. - Implement a robust risk management framework to proactively identify, assess, and mitigatepotential project risks. - Drive technological innovation by integrating advanced tools and systems to enhance projectefficiency and data management. - Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environmentwhile promoting continuous learning and development.Required Qualifications & Experience: - Proven experience of 20-25 years in project management within the power or transmissionsector, with a strong focus on large-scale project planning and execution. - Demonstrated expertise in enforcing safety and quality standards, with experienceoverseeing EPC contractors. - Strong background in engaging with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and localadministrations to facilitate project approvals and clearances.Educational Background: - B.E./B.Tech. in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. - MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.Years & Type of Experience: - 20+ years of experience in large-scale EPC project execution within the power transmissionsector. - Extensive experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving projects to successfulcompletion within budget and timeline constraints.Domain Expertise - In-depth knowledge of power transmission systems, including design, construction, andcommissioning. - Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in project management and safetycompliance. - Expertise in managing ROW issues, securing forest clearances, and addressing legal andregulatory concerns.Digital & Operational Tools - Proficiency in project management software and tools such as Primavera, MS Project, orequivalent. - Familiarity with digital platforms for risk management, data analytics, and reporting. - Experience with advanced technological tools for process optimization and datamanagement in project execution.Leadership Capabilities - Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative andresults-driven culture. - Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of building and maintainingrelationships with government authorities and regulatory bodies. - Demonstrated success in managing large-scale budgets and achieving financial efficiency inproject execution. - Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on innovation andcontinuous improvement.Non-Negotiable Requirements: 1.
