Sr. International Tax Manager

This role reports to the Senior Finance Director – Global Tax and will be responsible for managing 1 Senior International Tax Analyst. 

The Sr. International Tax Manager will be responsible for the management and supervision of all tax-related compliance and planning activities of the company including but not limited to all local and national taxes including transfer pricing of various countries that may be assigned:

Compliance

Provide management and tactical direction for all tax-related compliance requirements of the company (both direct and indirect taxes as well as transfer pricing compliance).

Manage process-improvement to achieve productivity and efficiency in the tax compliance processes of the company.

Help manage and establish finance policies affecting tax compliance.

Taking ownership to deliver the Group's tax compliance obligations in the Group through managing a combination of in-house finance resources and external advisors.

Assist efforts in the review of quarterly, interim and year-end income tax provisions and annual disclosures for the Group (prepared by global outsourcer). Coordinate with external service providers and financial statement auditors as required. Managing delivery of compliance for assigned countries.

Participate in a broad range of complex and challenging US and global tax work, requiring significant analysis, assessment, and quantification.

Represents, assists, and defends the company in all matters related to tax such as but not limited to tax registrations, application for rulings, tax investigations and tax audits

Assist with the delivery of the Master / Local transfer pricing documentation and Country By Country Reporting – all prepared by global outsourcer.

Review the works direct reports for completeness and accuracy and manage their performance

Other global tax compliance matters that may be assigned

Planning and Strategy

Manage all tax-related planning activities to identify and mitigate tax risks and exposures and to maximize government provided tax incentives.

Manage and supervise the tactical direction of the global tax team in providing compliance-related advisory to the management.

Serves as one of the resource persons and advisor to the management in all tax-related matters.

Provide meaningful tax analytics that will help drive management decisions with consideration for tax rules and regulations.

Prepare or draft tax-directed intercompany agreements such as but not limited to parent to subsidiary agreements and subsidiary to subsidiary agreements.

Demonstrate an understanding of complex tax concepts; and discuss moderately complex tax issues with management and the team;

Assist with group TP related topics including internal questions around implementation of operational TP as well as ad-hoc TP queries and projects that arise

Have a cost conscious mindset and drive down external advisor costs

Keep informed of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge to the company

Ad Hoc/Project Management

Project management or project partnership with other finance teams, IT, HR, and other functions in order to support department-wide or company-wide initiatives especially those related to or impacting tax.

Support other Finance Team in other areas of Finance affecting tax.

Conducts tax trainings as requested

Other ad hoc assignments and projects

Do you have what it takes to become a Sr. InternationalTax Manager?

Required Qualifications:

Degree in Business, Accounting, and Finance

Great technical knowledge in various areas and facets of tax especially with experience in Philippine and US Taxation;

Knowledge and experience in US and Global Taxation including Cross-border taxation

High proficiency in accounting standards and rules

Overall working experience of at least 5 to 7 years with specific experience in the following areas in combination:

Global Taxation with US global tax experience

Other countries' taxation experience will be an advantage

Business Finance

Finance & Accounting

Project management and/or process improvement

Policy establishment and direction

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint

Basic working knowledge in Oracle, SAP, or other major ERP is preferred

Proficiency in EFPS
