Background An exciting opportunity for investment professionals with a Noida based family office - the family office manages wealth of Mr. Bhanu Chopra, Founder of RateGain. RateGain is a leading travel technology company providing solutions to travel and hospitality industry and has been profiled by Credit Suisse amongst 100 Unicorns in India. The company is listed on NSE.The family office invests in wide range of asset classes including public and private equity, bonds, structured credit and other alternate investments in India and abroad. We are looking to recruit an Equity Research Analyst to evaluate new business and investment opportunities and provide recommendations. Job Description Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough fundamental analysis of public markets & PE / VC companies Evaluate financial performance, competitive positioning, industry trends, and management quality to identify compelling investment opportunities. Idea Generation: Generate investment ideas through rigorous research, leveraging both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Identify undervalued assets, emerging trends, and potential catalysts that align with the firm's investment thesis. Financial Modelling:  Develop and maintain detailed financial models to forecast company performance, including revenue projections, earnings estimates, and valuation metrics. Ensure models are robust, accurate, and reflective of underlying business dynamics. Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on prospective investment targets, assessing business fundamentals, risks, and growth prospects. Engage with company management, industry experts, and other stakeholders to gain insights and validate investment theses. Investment Recommendations: Present well-reasoned investment recommendations to the investment committee, supported by thorough analysis and a clear articulation of the investment thesis. Communicate insights effectively, highlighting key risks and opportunities. Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor the performance of existing portfolio holdings, conducting regular reviews and updates based on changing market conditions and company developments. Identify opportunities to enhance portfolio returns and mitigate risks proactively.Conduct research/ analysis on Indian and Global stocks to understand and build the investment thesis on respective recommendationsMeet managements in -person as part of research to build investment thesis for recommendations Competencies Should come with 5 plus years of experience, working currently in a buy-side setup Currently looking after multiple sectors or should be sector agnostic Good financial modelling and valuation skills, able to identify industry trends and make stock recommendations Excellent Communication (both oral & written) and interpersonal skills. Understanding of Technical Analysis and Quant models will be an added advantage. Qualifications MBA/CA/CFA NISM Research Analyst Certification
