Gallagher Re actuarialteam uses deep actuarial skills along with high quality analyticaland problem-solving prowess to assist clients in enhancing theirbusiness performances and optimize their reinsurance portfolios.The expertise obtained over the several years of market presenceallows the client-oriented teams to provide finestservices.

 

The candidate will work in Reinsurance Pricing teams forbusiness lines like Property & Casualty, Motor, and/orSpecialty lines like Aerospace and Marine. The teams providepricing of contracts and dynamic portfolio optimization forinternational clients, serviced via our internationaloffices.


How you'llmake an impact

The principalresponsibilities for the candidate willbe:
  • Data cleansing and processing tofacilitate actuarial analysisAssist on-shorestakeholders and Actuaries in performing Actuarial Pricing Analysissuch as Experience rating and Exposure rating for building acomprehensive, multi-dimensional loss model in accordance withclient risk profiles and industrynorms
  • Estimating reinsurance pricing anddetermining optimal ReinsuranceStrategies
  • Prepare and provide reports anddecks for the performed analysesContribute towards theIndustry studies and Benchmarking activities, that aim at promotingGallagher Re as thought leader in reinsurance marketplace
  • Contribute to development ofinnovative concepts, tools or automating currentprocess.

Aboutyou

  • Graduate/Post-graduate,preferably inStats/Maths/Eco/CommerceA student member of anyof the following institutes:
    • Institute of Actuariesof India (IAI)
    • Institute of Faculties ofActuaries – UK(IFoA)
    3-6 Actuarial examscleared as per the new Curriculum, along with zeal of pursuing thequalification furtherProfessionalcommunication skills, both written andoral
  • Good understanding of insuranceand reinsurance conceptsStrong analytical andproblem-solving skillsPropensity to thinkbeyond the assignment at hand and show ability to be detailoriented
  • Driven to take initiatives andchallenging work
  • Ability to work collaboratively inteam
  • Ability to turn around work ofprofessional quality within setdeadlines
  • Excellent MS Office skills,particularly Excel is essentialKnowledge of VBA, SQL,Python, R, Power BI etc. is added anadvantage
  • A relevant internship or industryexperience of 2 – 5 years will be an addedadvantage.
