HR Intern – Onboarding & Background Verification

Location : BKC, MumbaiSalary : ₹10,000 – ₹15,000 per monthDuration : 6 Months

Are you passionate about kickstarting your career in Human Resources? We are looking for an

HR Intern

to assist in managing the onboarding process and end-to-end background verification operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR while contributing to a dynamic team.

Key ResponsibilitiesOnboarding Process :Welcome new hires and guide them through the onboarding process.Ensure all necessary documents (e.g., IDs, certificates, offer letters) are collected and verified.Call new joiners daily to assist with completing their joining documentation.Coordinate orientation sessions, training schedules, and introduce employees to the company culture.Background Verification :Manage the end-to-end background verification process.Coordinate with third-party vendors or conduct in-house checks.Initiate the background verification process promptly and track turnaround times (TAT) for reports.Prepare MIS reports and publish dashboards for stakeholders.Verify education credentials, work experience, and other employee details.Conduct reference checks and maintain confidentiality throughout.Communication :Serve as the primary contact for onboarding updates and background verification statuses.Address candidate queries and provide timely resolutions.Record Maintenance :Maintain accurate and organized records of onboarding and verification activities.Update and monitor progress in HR management tools or systems.Process Improvement :Identify and address gaps or inefficiencies in the onboarding and background verification process.Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Skills RequiredProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas.Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.Familiarity with HR tools and platforms (e.g., ATS, HRMS) is an advantage.An eye for detail in background verification cases.A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn HR operations.

QualificationsCurrently enrolled in or completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Previous internship or experience in HR is a bonus but not mandatory.
