Junior Construction Accountant

Athene Constructions is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support our construction accounting operations.

You’ll work under the guidance of our Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day bookkeeping, site-level expense tracking, vendor payments, and project-wise cost analysis.

This role is dedicated exclusively to our construction projects, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting across all sites.

• Maintain daily bookkeeping in Zoho Books / Tally or other accounting systems.
• Record all construction-related transactions – material purchases, vendor bills, labour payments, and petty cash.
• Track project-wise costs and assist in preparing cost-to-completion reports.
• Support bank reconciliation, GST data preparation, and vendor payment schedules.
• Coordinate with site engineers and project managers for expense verification.
• Prepare and maintain supporting documents for audits and statutory compliance.
• Assist the Senior Accountant in monthly closing and management reports.
  

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
• 3–6 years of experience in accounting (construction experience preferred).
• Hands-on with Zoho Books, Tally, or MS Excel.
• Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and vendor management.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and follow-up skills.
