Job Title: Java Backend Developer (Java 11, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Docker)

Location: Bangalore / Hybrid

Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java 11 , Spring Boot , and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes . You will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining scalable backend services in a cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 11 and Spring Boot .
  • Implement RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures.
  • Build and manage containerized applications using Docker .
  • Deploy, scale, and manage services on Kubernetes .
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams.
  • Monitor and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
  • Integrate with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and external APIs.
  • Work in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in backend development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java 11 (or later).
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot framework.
  • Proficiency in building and deploying containerized apps using Docker .
  • Practical knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Experience with REST API design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Understanding of security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, etc.).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Exposure to event-driven architectures.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
