Job Title: IT Purchasing Specialist –(ITSM/Software/Hardware)Location Offshore Remote (India)-Must be in IndiaDuration: Through 2025 with 1 year extension after that Submittal Requirements3-5 Must Haves (need to be highlighted in sizzle & present on resume)3-7 years of IT Purchasing experienceExperience with Software, IT Services, software, and Hardware purchasingStrong experience negotiating with vendorsExperience working in the manufacturing industry, ideally Automotive Manufacturing is a plusAny experience working on vendor consolidation initiatives is a big plus Job Description Job Summary:The IT Purchasing Analyst is responsible processing contracts for one of the IT procurement commodities, which includes hardware, software, network/telecom and services. This role ensures that the organization acquires the necessary technology resources at the best possible prices while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The IT Purchasing Analyst will work closely with the IT department, vendors, and other stakeholders to manage contracts and negotiate terms.Key Responsibilities:Procurement Management: Purchase IT equipment, software, and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition.Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure the best deals.Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of IT contract entitlements.Contract Management: Oversee the lifecycle of IT contracts, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.Collaboration: Work closely with IT and other departments to understand their needs and provide procurement support.Reporting: Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and vendor performance to senior management. Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.3+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or data analysis.Strong negotiating, analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience managing large complex contractors or projects in one or more IT categories, including hardware, software, managed services and telecom.Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of procurement and vendor management practicesStrong interpersonal communication skills to be applied in a working environment with vendors across the entire contract cycle.Knowledge of IT concepts and systemsStrong dispute resolution and mediation skills to handle issue escalationUse analytical approach to problem solving, with a focus on managing tasks with appropriate urgency in a results-oriented environmentAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
