Location: Pune / Coimbatore, India Experience: 10–15 years Industry: Renewable Energy, SustainabilityAbout the Role The Senior Civil Engineer will lead the day-to-day delivery of civil and structural designs for renewable energy and allied infrastructure projects. This role requires strong technical execution, project coordination, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while ensuring high-quality outputs aligned with client and regulatory requirements.Reports To: Practice Lead (with technical guidance from External Civil/Structural Expert)Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Engineering• Develop and review civil, structural, geotechnical, and hydrology designs for renewable energy projects (solar PV, wind, substations, BESS, and green hydrogen facilities). • Prepare site development layouts, grading, drainage, and foundation engineering packages. • Ensure designs comply with IS codes, Eurocodes, AISC, ASCE, and lender/client specifications. • Validate soil and geotechnical data to optimize foundation and structural systems. • Review design drawings, calculations, and reports to maintain accuracy and consistency.Project Delivery• Lead the in-house civil and structural engineering team, including engineers and drafters. • Ensure timely delivery of design packages in coordination with electrical, renewables, and project management teams. • Provide technical support during construction, including RFIs, field clarifications, and site design adjustments. • Contribute to QA/QC processes and compliance with internal design standards.Collaboration & Support• Work closely with business development teams to provide technical inputs for proposals, cost estimates, and constructability checks. • Participate in technical due diligence, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering engagements. • Coordinate with external consultants, EPCs, and clients to align design deliverables and project goals. • Mentor junior civil engineers and support training and development within the team.Candidate ProfileEducation: BE/BTech in Civil Engineering; MTech in Structural or Geotechnical Engineering preferred.Experience: 10–15 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, preferably in the renewable energy or power sector.Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of foundation design, site grading, and structural analysis using tools like STAAD, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.Other Skills: Ability to manage multidisciplinary coordination, lead project teams, and deliver within tight timelines.
