Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Platform Engineer with strong expertise in infrastructure automation, platform integration, performance tuning, and service availability. The role demands deep experience in enterprise Linux/Windows environments, virtualization, cloud (hybrid), and scripting. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure platform operations in alignment with IT and business needs.

This is a senior-level, hands-on role requiring independent ownership of engineering and operations deliverables across multiple environments.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise platforms (Linux, Windows, Virtualization, Cloud/Hybrid)
  • Automate routine infrastructure tasks using tools like Ansible, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Manage platform lifecycle activities including provisioning, patching, and decommissioning
  • Monitor and maintain platform health, capacity, performance, and availability
  • Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and system integrations for platform services
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to implement controls and secure configurations
  • Ensure platform resilience through disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Support deployment and configuration of applications across environments
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for system outages and performance bottlenecks
  • Maintain documentation including runbooks, SOPs, and architectural diagrams
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement and platform modernization efforts
  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical infrastructure support

Requirements

Technical & Professional Skills

  • 7–10 years of experience in platform engineering or enterprise infrastructure roles
  • Proficiency in administering Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Solid understanding of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid cloud integrations
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning capabilities
  • Understanding of ITIL processes, change control, and ticketing systems
  • Working knowledge of information security and compliance requirements (ISO 27001, SAMA, NCA)
