Student Engagement Specialist

Job Title: Engagement and Admission Specialist supporting Swinburne University of TechnologyDivision: Education - PACELocation: DelhiThe OpportunityAt Acumen (part of the Sannam S4 Group), we partner with leading international universities to support their global engagement strategies. We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused GS Officer – International Admissions to support Swinburne University of Technology in managing genuine student (GS) assessments and admissions processing in India.This role offers the opportunity to work with a world-class Australian university, playing a key part in ensuring high-quality student applications and compliance with international admissions standards. Based in Delhi, the GS Officer will help optimise student recruitment while ensuring alignment with Australian government and university policies.Key DeliverablesGenuine Student (GS) Assessment and ProcessingAssess applications for compliance with genuine student criteria and within agreed turnaround times.Verify academic documents through institutions, DigiLocker, or other reliable methods.Evaluate financial documentation and assess student capacity to fund studies.Conduct and assess Statements of Purpose (SoPs) and interviews as required.Record detailed decisions and assessments accurately in StudyLink.Compliance and Quality AssuranceEnsure all processes align with Swinburne and Australian government compliance standards (e.G., ESOS Act, DHA regulations, National Code).Monitor agent activity and escalate complex or high-risk cases to the appropriate teams.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of visa regulations, education systems, and financial norms in key markets.Ensure information management, reporting, and record-keeping practices meet Swinburne's legal and operational standards.Stakeholder CollaborationWork closely with international admissions teams and Swinburne’s GS & compliance staff in Australia and South Asia.Act as the central liaison for GS-related queries and ensure internal teams are kept informed of any policy changes.Collaborate with recruitment teams to ensure applications progress efficiently from submission to enrolment.Customer Service and CommunicationProvide high-quality, student-focused service to applicants, families, education agents, and institutional partners.Issue clear and accurate communication regarding additional document requests, refusals, and decisions.Assist in pre-assessment, pre-departure sessions, and workshops as needed.Process Improvement and System SupportContribute to the ongoing development and improvement of admissions processes, including system enhancements and automation initiatives.Support troubleshooting and resolution of system-related issues to minimise disruption.About YouA degree in a relevant field (e.G., Education, Business, International Relations) and experience in international admissions or GS assessment.Strong understanding of the Australian education sector, visa regulations, and compliance requirements.High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.Excellent communication skills in English and fluency in Hindi; knowledge of additionalIndian languages is a plus.Previous experience with StudyLink Connect is preferred.Experience working with the Australian Department of Home Affairs or similar visa processing experience is an advantage.A strong commitment to student service and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.About AcumenAcumen (part of the Sannam S4 Group) works with world-leading educational institutions to support their global strategies.
