We are seeking a skilled and innovative Robotics Engineer with strong expertise in welding systems to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, implementing, and maintaining robotic systems with a focus on automated welding applications. You will work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimize production processes, improve quality, and ensure efficiency in automated welding operations.


Key Responsibilities:


Design, develop, and implement robotic systems for welding applications in a high-volume production environment.


Possess in-depth knowledge of ABB robots and associated vision systems, including integration and operation.


Program, calibrate, and troubleshoot ABB robotic welding systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.


Apply basic knowledge of PLC automation, IoT, and digitalization tools, including diagnostic and troubleshooting practices.


Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers to successfully integrate robotic systems into manufacturing processes.


Continuously monitor and fine-tune robotic welding operations for quality, cycle time, and consistency, in close coordination with the quality assurance team.


Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as schematics, operation manuals, maintenance procedures, and safety guidelines.


Provide training and hands-on support to operators and maintenance staff on the use and upkeep of robotic systems.


Analyze production and performance data to identify bottlenecks and recommend automation improvements; regularly report findings to the production manager.


Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and internal protocols in all robotic system operations.


Stay informed on the latest advancements in robotics, welding technologies, and smart factory systems to support continuous improvement.


Promote and implement 5S principles and support operational excellence initiatives throughout the facility.


Line efficiency management and OEE measuring.


Develop and propose innovative robotic automation solutions to enhance efficiency and competitiveness within the plant.


Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.


+7 years of experience in industrial robotics (preferably ABB), preferably in a manufacturing environment.


Proven experience with robotic welding systems and programming languages (e.g., RAPID, KML, Ladder Logic).


Strong understanding of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, resistance welding, etc.) and welding quality standards.


Familiarity with robotic simulation and offline programming tools.


Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, vision systems, and automation control systems is a plus.


Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.


Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
