Summary / Role Purpose

Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team to support our customers with their LS-DYNA simulations and help grow Ansys’ business. You will use engineering knowledge to provide technical post-sales support, find solutions to a wide variety of technical challenges and channel customer feedback to improve Ansys products. You will be a part of our team of enthusiastic and passionate engineers striving to deliver the highest quality solutions to our customers, advancing your knowledge, experience, and your impact on the success of our customers. Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Help customers with LS-DYNA and Ansys simulations. 
  • Provide high-quality and timely customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Become a guru in one or more simulation areas. 
  • Improve Ansys software by submitting defects (bugs) and enhancement requests. 
  • Write knowledge articles and post on the Ansys forum.
  • Learn new LS-DYNA and Ansys features to support new releases.
  • Help marketing and sales with demos and training material as needed. 

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Master of engineering + 0 years of experience. 
  • Knowledge of LS-DYNA, Ansys or other structural CAE software (Abaqus, Radioss, Nastran, OptiStruct, Pam-Crash, etc.). 
  • Strong fundamentals in structural mechanics and FEA theory.
  • Logical problem-solving and strong interpersonal/communication skills. 
  • Fluent in writing and speaking English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; possesses a sense of urgency.
  • Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen; driven to succeed.
  • Enjoy helping others.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Master of engineering + 3 years of relevant experience or a PhD in engineering.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
  • Crashworthiness, impact, drop test, and forming with explicit dynamic software. 
  • Experience solving industrial problems with LS-DYNA. 
  • Knowledge of Ansys Workbench, LS-PrePost, and LS-RUN. 
  • Experience with non-linear and rate-sensitive materials (foams, plastics, rubbers, etc.).
  • Experience with metal plasticity and failure, hyper-elasticity, and composite materials.
  • Knowledge of LS-DYNA implicit and multi-physics solvers (ICFD, CESE, EM, thermal). 
  • Exposure to programming user-defined functions (user materials, user elements, etc.). 
  • Automation and customization with Python.
